Very good, definitely grows on you and a deserving winner.

Deceptively well filmed and executed, with the added bonus of making the more snotty observers weep into their expensive HD edit-suites... and ponder over their own attitudes to amature film making.

Indeed.

Style = good
Substance = good
Style + Substance = winner

I just watched this and have to say...thank god something original won! Well done, it goes to show that you do't have to have the best camera or pc to do it, it's about being unique. Most of the other vids were so predictable, and left me thinking hmmm..ok fills the brief. This on the other hand filled teh brief yet left a smile on my face. Well done guys!!!!

After reading some of the comments on the page I got very angry and so just had to reply. I do not know Cheryl but I am a young filmmaker with experience of paid work that has been in festivals and on websites. As such I know what you lot have gone through making these films. But, I think some of you have really got the wrong end of the stick with this. Because I am already making films I did not feel the need to enter this competition because…

I'm sorry this is not a professional film competition and I have to agree with peter may's comment. This film is the winner and that is fine for this competition. I think people have taken this all too seriously - this is not a bafta! Baftas are awarded to people at the top of their fields. I was reading up on some of the contestants and they have put that they were bafta nominated on their websites etc, which is just plain silly and false.

This is an excellent competition that aims to get everybody all across Britain into filmmaking. The website even suggests people make films with their phones! it wants to give an opportunity to everyone to make a film and have some fun – hence the achievable running time of 60 seconds! I think that is very noble.

Anyone who is criticising this film for its production values should be ashamed of themselves. They were adequate for this competition and certainly better than a camera phone - which orange even suggested people go with!

Additionally, the majority of the films last year that were regional shortlisted and regional winners and even the overall winner itself did not have particularly high production values (as you would expect in an inclusive competition like this) and so you should have realised what this competition was about last year.

Personally I salute Cheryl for making a unique piece (when so many other entries went for an over sentimental and prize seeking approach), but more importantly I praise her and anyone who entered just for getting out there and making any kind of film - which is what was the point of this competition.
I am sure that for a lot of people who entered this competition it was their first time they made a film and hopefully they enjoyed it. If anyone wants to go on from this to a semi professional or student level then there are many film festivals all across the Uk. Once again this competition is not for a bafta award, it is not a professional competition, it is to encourage the public to make films and have the chance of seeing the stars at the baftas as a reward. If you have mistaken this competition for something it is not then that is your own fault.
